Lo's Life

I wouldn't have thought 7 months would entail so many milestones. In just one short month Lauryn has changed so much.......

• Sits on her own like a pro, even reaches and grabs for things without falling over
• Feeds herself puffs, cheerios and bananas
• No more swaddling
• Rolls everywhere
• Babbles dada, baba, gaga and a ma here and there. Brandon thinks dada is her first word....does her babbling really count though?
• A toothless beauty no more, her lower front tooth came in
• She does the backward wave, although I don't think she knows it's a wave
• Sleeps on her tummy
• Loves to ride Tiki, loves it when Tiki licks her

I'm sure each month is going to be filled with many milestones. I just have to get use to my baby growing up...

Finally!

Hi everyone! I can finally relax, my tooth came thru! Only took 7 months and 4 weeks, but I have a sliver of a lower front tooth now. yeah!!!

I don't think she's a fan of her costume. This is the first time we couldn't get her to smile for a picture. Might have been the 40 degree temp and 20 mph wind she didn't like...or that her hands were frozen because what 7 month old really needs gloves??...or that we had her so bundled up that she could barely move. Nah! She just wanted to be a princess instead of a pumpkin.

First plane ride to Florida!

Lauryn did fantastic on her first plane ride. On the way down she only cried for a couple minutes when she got tired and on the way back we hit turbulance and she cried when her ears were popping. Other than that she was a smiling, laughing, giggling girl!

Cal: "Umm, I'm not so sure about this."

Cal: "Yeah, I changed my mind. This is all mine."

Lo: "Oh c'mon. Just a little, please?"

Cal: "Hahahaha."

Erika: "Isn't it cute how he is teasing her!"

Lo: "Pleeeeaaassseee. Don't you like me?"

Cal: "Hahahaha. Never!"

Later, I asked Lo how she felt about the situation. I think this face says it all. One day she'll be able to get you Cal!

Lo's Life

Our little Lauryn is now 6 months old. Wow! I thought I would give an update as to what she is up to now.

• She loves to smile!
• She is ticklish on her thighs and ribs. Her laugh is contagious.
• She loves to hear her voice and scream as loud as she can.
• She babbles and talks, telling her own stories. I look forward to the day when I can understand what she's trying to say because it all sounds sooo exciting.
• She rolls all over and just started to scoot using her legs to push. She doesn't have the arms down yet.
• She has no interest in sitting up on her own, but loves to stand. She may be crawling before she's sitting.
• She still loves Tiki.
• She grabs for everything.
• She loves stroller rides and the outdoors; hates the car seat and car rides.
• She still has to be swaddled to sleep.
• She doesn't care much about books but we keep trying!
• She loves being sung to.
• She goes to sleep at 7:00pm, wakes up at 7:00am for a bottle and then goes back to sleep for another 1-2hrs. FINALLY!
• She has no teeth and fuzz for hair.
• Her eyes are still bright blue.
• She takes 3 naps a day.
• She's our little angel.

I'm hungry...

This is Lo's new way of eating. Where she learned this, I have no idea. It may look like she is full and trying to tell me she is done eating...but no...this is not the case. She just likes to get a mouthful and then proceed to spit it back out at me, smiling when she runs out of breath...of course. This way I can't be mad at her, she is just too darn cute.

And no, usually she's not this messy but this is what happens when I'm trying to feed and video tape her at the same time. We've come a long way!
