Lo's Life

Our little Lauryn is now 6 months old. Wow! I thought I would give an update as to what she is up to now.

• She loves to smile!
• She is ticklish on her thighs and ribs. Her laugh is contagious.
• She loves to hear her voice and scream as loud as she can.
• She babbles and talks, telling her own stories. I look forward to the day when I can understand what she's trying to say because it all sounds sooo exciting.
• She rolls all over and just started to scoot using her legs to push. She doesn't have the arms down yet.
• She has no interest in sitting up on her own, but loves to stand. She may be crawling before she's sitting.
• She still loves Tiki.
• She grabs for everything.
• She loves stroller rides and the outdoors; hates the car seat and car rides.
• She still has to be swaddled to sleep.
• She doesn't care much about books but we keep trying!
• She loves being sung to.
• She goes to sleep at 7:00pm, wakes up at 7:00am for a bottle and then goes back to sleep for another 1-2hrs. FINALLY!
• She has no teeth and fuzz for hair.
• Her eyes are still bright blue.
• She takes 3 naps a day.
• She's our little angel.

I'm hungry...

This is Lo's new way of eating. Where she learned this, I have no idea. It may look like she is full and trying to tell me she is done eating...but no...this is not the case. She just likes to get a mouthful and then proceed to spit it back out at me, smiling when she runs out of breath...of course. This way I can't be mad at her, she is just too darn cute.

And no, usually she's not this messy but this is what happens when I'm trying to feed and video tape her at the same time. We've come a long way!

I thought this was cute because I came back in the room and she had turned herself around, kicking like a soccer player at the mirror. Guess she had enough of looking at herself.

Lo loves Tiki!

Everytime Lo sees Tiki she smiles and starts talking/screaming at him. She really gets excited when they make eye contact. Tiki is the only one she does this for. Tiki on the other hand knows he can't go near Lo, so he just walks away.

"Tiki can you believe it? All I have to do is start crying and I get food. Hey Tiki, did you see me spin this froggy around in a circle? Hey Tiki, did you see me roll over today? Probably not since mommy won't let you get too close to me because she doesn't like it when you lick me, but I think it tickles. Hey Tiki, hey Tiki...where you going?"

"Tiki, why are you way over there? I wasn't done talking to you."

"Oooooo, you're back! So, as I was saying..."

"Wait, Wait, Tiki come back. I wasn't done. Well, I'll see ya around the place."

Lauryn's dedication

On Sunday, Aug 30th we had Lauryn dedicated at our church. Thank you to all of our family and friends who were able to share in this special day.
